GHANA SECURITIES INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVES

We are pleased to announce that the Governing Council of the Ghana Securities Industry Association (GSIA) hasappointed a new executive team for the 2021-2023 term. Mr Winston Nelson Jnr, CEO of Amber Securities Limitedwill be President for the period, Mr Kisseih Antonio, Managing Director of Sentinel Asset Management Limited willbe Vice President and Ms Yvonne Oppong-Ayisi of Boulders Advisors Limited will be Treasurer.

The Council is also grateful to its immediate past president, Mr. Emmanuel Alex Asiedu for his stellar leadershipduring his tenure; a period which was characterised by the financial sector clean-up and revocationof licences bythe regulator of some fund management firms.

President

Winston is CEO of Amber Securities Limited, a Licensed Dealing Member of the GhanaStock Exchange. Anaccomplished stockbroker, financial adviser and capital marketspecialist who has led many landmarktransactions in Ghana’s capital market for thepast 18 years.

Over the last eight years, Winston has served the Association in various capacities,first as Treasurer from2014-2018 and as Vice-President from 2018 until hisappointment as President of the Association. He haspreviously served on the Councilof the Ghana Stock Exchange and currently serves on the Governing Councilof theGhana Fixed Income Market.

Kisseih Antonio

Vice President

Kisseih is the Managing Director of Sentinel Asset Management (SAM). Prior to SAM,he was the Country Head of Ecobank Capital’s Securities, Wealth and AssetManagement Business. He also doubled as the Managing Director of EDC InvestmentsLtd. Prior to joining Ecobank Capital, Kisseih had a stint in corporate banking with

Barclays as the Head of Public sector. He has also worked as a fund manager in Nigeriawith Zenith Capital and Afrinvest.

Kisseih joined the Governing Council of the GSIA in 2018 and chairs the GSIA’s FundManagers & Investment Advisory standing committee. He has been very instrumentalwith matters on advocacy for fund managers and the association as a whole.

Yvonne Oppong-Ayisi

Treasurer

Yvonne works with Boulders Advisors Limited as a financial consultant. She is a fellowof ACCA and member of the Securities & Investment Institute (UK). As a certifiedchartered accountant with extensive post qualification capabilities in financial andfund management reporting, Yvonne brings both local and international experienceto the Association.

Prior to joining Boulders Advisors in May 2020, she worked with, set up and run thecustody Desks of First Atlantic and Fidelity banks from 2012 to April 2020, JP MorganChase & Co. in the UK as a Fund Accountant.She has in-depth knowledge andunderstanding of the pension Industry. Yvonne also served as Chair of the GSIAcustody group committee from 2016-2020.

Commenting on the appointment of the new Executives, the immediate past president of the Association, Mr.

Emmanuel Alex Asiedu said, “the new set of executives definitely has the capabilities to steer the industry into

a growth phase; growth that is based on integrity, proper governance and an educated investor base”.

Welcoming the executives to their new role, the Executive Secretary of the GSIA, Ms Marian Dsane, notedthat, “the Association was truly confident that with the depth of experience and many years of dedicatedservice tothe GSIA, Winston and his team are best placed to lead, grow and strengthen the association while maintainingthe integrity of the industry”.
